Investing in Youth
TRREB Member REALTORS® know the value of education. The TRREB Past President’s Scholarship program was established in 2007 to celebrate and support final year high school students pursuing post-secondary studies.
Seventy-three deserving students have received scholarships through the TRREB Past President’s Scholarship program. Included are our seven winners from 2024: Tejiri Inikori, Daniel Tan, Elisa Gabriele, Yulia Senyuk, Dev Katyal, Jaden da Silva, and Ethan Berger. Now in our eighteenth year, our student award recipients have benefitted from $264,500 in scholarship money.

How to Apply
TRREB’s Scholarship Application
Be one of eight winners of TRREB’s Past President’s Scholarship awards!
Eligible students may apply for one of eight awards: two $5,000 first-place, two $2,500 second-place, two $2,000 third-place awards, and two $1,500 fourth-place awards.
To qualify, students must demonstrate academic achievement, show an interest in a field related to the real estate industry, leadership skills and community involvement, address a real estate industry-related question, and write a 1,500- to 1800-word essay on one of two topics:
- How does the GTA gridlock affect housing, large and small businesses, and the mental and physical health of commuters and residents? What solutions can be implemented to help ease this problem?
- How changing – often extreme – weather conditions affect GTA residents and their communities regarding housing, municipal services, transportation, and other infrastructure. What can be done to mitigate these effects?
The deadline to apply is 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025.
